Welcome to the Home of Otley Singers Choir

We are a community choir based in Otley, West Yorkshire. We meet weekly during the school term, and are led by Beccy Owen, a singer/songwriter who has been leading harmony-based singing groups for over a decade.

Otley Singers began in 2000. We now have over 40 members all of whom currently happen to be women. We have performed in a wide variety of places and are a friendly and welcoming group.

The Last Sing at Otley Singers on the 19th July 2016 before the Summer Break. "We look forward to welcoming everyone back on the 6th September!
We are holding an open evening on 20th Sep for any friends/newcomers to attend. This will be a fun informal session for any potential new members to get a feel for the group.

Our aims are:

  • To enjoy ourselves, have a good sing and share a cup of tea together.
  • To develop our choral skills and our musical awareness and appreciation.
  • To help other local people learn to love a broad range of music.
  • To encourage musical interests and music-making throughout the local area.
  • Peanuts! (without permission)

Everyone is welcome, and there is no audition process to go through.

We currently have spaces for new singers. If you would like to join, come along any Tuesday during term time or please contact us letting us know a little about yourself and we’ll be in touch.

We meet on Tuesdays, 7.30–9.30 at the Crossgates Centre (opposite the Old Cock).
